In May 1970 Kimberly Clark Sharp suddenly collapsed on the sidewalk. She was not breathing and had no pulse.
“At first I was enveloped in a dense, dark fog. Suddenly an enormous explosion of light erupted beneath me, rolling out to the ends of the universe. Then I was in the center of the Light. . . .
“The Light was brighter than hundreds of suns, but it did not hurt my eyes. It was entirely composed of Love. I understood that this was the Light of God. The Light and Love were directed at me, surrounding me and going through me.
“The Light gave me knowledge. I learned the answers to the eternal questions: "Why are we here? What's the purpose of our life? Why is there suffering and evil?" I felt as if I was remembering things that I had once known but somehow forgotten, and it seemed incredible that I had not figured out these things before now.
“Then I was told that I had to return to my life on Earth. I argued, but in reply I was shown a vision of the future and my personal destiny to serve others.”
Now Kim knows the meaning of her life, and why she returned. She learned that there is no death, and that the purpose of her current sojourn on earth is to be of service. This is why she founded IANDS in Seattle and wrote her book After the Light which can be accessed at www.seattleiands.org.
