California Vision 2020, one of California’s most important conferences heading into the mid-term elections, will take place September 20 – 22nd in Sacramento. Now in its second year, the conference brings together a diverse collection of California’s top dynamic thinkers, prominent activists, cultural leaders and vibrant communities to support the state’s leadership role in advancing real-world solutions for all. It's uniting major changemakers from many sectors to light the way forward to real solutions in sectors from clean energy to banking to social justice and education.
Featuring over two dozen visionaries including Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Louis Gossett Jr., Marianne Williamson, Mayor Michael D. Tubbs, Joan Blades, John Gable, Dr. Manuel Pastor, Zachary Norris, Saru Jayamaran and others, the conference is a catalyst for action-oriented ideas, insights and visions for a positive shift by the year 2020 and beyond.

“In a time of national divisiveness, California has the opportunity to apply its legacy of inclusion, innovation and leadership on multiple fronts – including technology, education, environment and the economy – to design solutions for a sustainable, prosperous society for all,” said Stephen Dinan, founder of The Shift Network and California Vision 2020. “The conference showcases California’s visionary pathfinders who are lighting the way for a brighter tomorrow for our state, our country and ultimately our world.”
Under the theme “Lighting the Way to a Better Future,” the conference will feature presentations, panel discussions, roundtables, workshops, skill-building practice sessions and inspiring musical performances. An interactive Culture Lab is one of the new attractions of this year’s conference, highlighting California’s diverse cultures. The three-day event is expected to draw over 500 attendees from around the state looking to build actionable solutions in support of positive social change.
